Star Wars Zero Company, the debut title from Bit Reactor published by Electronic Arts in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, launched worldwide on August 28 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles. The turn-based single-player tactics game is set during the Clone Wars era and marks the first release from Bit Reactor, a studio founded by former Firaxis developers including Greg Foertsch.

Launch Details

The game is available on the EA App, Steam, and Epic Games Store on PC, with the Digital Deluxe Edition priced at $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on consoles. A Collector's Edition is available at $299.99. The soundtrack, composed by Gordy Haab, was released alongside the game through Walt Disney Records. EA said the title is optimized for mouse-and-keyboard tactics play while supporting full gamepad controls across all platforms.

Gameplay

Zero Company puts players in command of a Clone Wars-era unit, combining turn-based tactical combat with cover, elevation, and squad composition mechanics. Bit Reactor's pitch to Lucasfilm emphasized a character-driven campaign focused on a single clone unit, in contrast to the galaxy-scale strategy of previous Star Wars titles. The studio drew on the visual language of the prequel-era animated series for unit designs and environments.

Release Day Context

Zero Company launched into one of the most crowded release days of the year, alongside Konami's Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, Asobo Studio's Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, and the Switch 2 versions of Elden Ring and Devil May Cry 5. Early previews highlighted the game's accessibility options and mission variety, and EA said the title will receive post-launch content through the first quarter of 2027.
